Once again the Latino rating system has some agencies not playing nice. Many agencies have issued their public information request, Florida Statue 119 in a timely manner. Some agenices have take longer than the time allowed but have entered their information.
Currently their are two types of agencies which are not planning nice. The first is the "we just will not respond agency" hoping we just go away.
The second type of agencies not planning nice is the "charge them" agencies. Although it is lawful to charge for the information, their is a way to play the game.
One agency charging us is "Miami Dade Corrections". While Miami Dade Police did not charge us for any informational request they have. We hope they did not file the requested information prior to issuing to us with FDLE or United States Justice Dept. In order to obtain Federal grant funding an agency must keep on file EEO reports. Hummmm.... We wonder if.....
The LOA-FLA of course has a game plan on dealing with the not so nice agencies.
All this is evidence to us that many agencies just don't want to deal with Latino issues.
