Proverbs 18:23-24 (New American Standard Bible)
23The poor man utters supplications,
But the rich man answers roughly.
24A man of too many friends comes to ruin,
But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
Proverbs 17: 17 A friend loves at all times, And a brother is born for adversity.
John 15:14, 15 "You are My friends if you do what I command you. No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you.”
A personal relationship with Christ is the only true cure for the aching of a man’s (woman’s) heart. Being a survivor of my brother’s suicide, my encouragement to our members and families associated with the LOA-FLA is to pray hard for the survivors, especially the young ones; it is extremely hard for them to understand and for the adults to give guidance. In these difficult times in our world, we as Christians need to be vigilant in our relationships to see if others are in need of services or a listening ear. My prayers are with the family.
