LOA-FLA Latino rating system 2006 winner CPD.


December 13, 2007 the LOA-FLA awarded the Clearwater Police Department the winner of the Latino rating system for 2006. Out of 100 agencies CPD was the clear winner. Thanks to the hard work of Hispanic laision Ofc's such as Rodriguez and Munoz CPD is a winner. The Certificate of Acvement was presented to Chief Sid Klien.

The Latino Officers Association Florida shall present the Clearwater Police Department with the “P.O. Ramon Suarez NYPD Shield 12671 Certificate of Accomplishment” for an outstanding score in the LOA-FLA Latino Rating System for 2006. The Certificate of Accomplishment shall be presented at the Clearwater Police Department Headquarters December 13, 2007 10am. Presenting the Award on behalf of the Latino Officers Association Florida shall be President Alexander Martinez, & Regional representative Jorge Silva. The Certificate reads:



In sincere appreciation for the outstanding dedication of the Clearwater Police Department towards the Latino community. The LOA-FLA proudly presents CPD the winner of the LOA-FLA Latino Rating System. Programs such as the Hispanic Outreach have shown the enthusiastic dedication of service towards the Latino community on behalf of CPD. HOW/WHY: The Clearwater Police Department will be recognized Thursday, December 13, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. for its ongoing Hispanic Outreach efforts. The Latino Officers Association Florida recently named CPD winner of the LOA-FLA Latino Rating for 2006. The Clearwater Police Department’s selection was based on criteria including, but not limited to: the number of Latinos hired by CPD, Latino event participation and a website available in Spanish.

The Clearwater Police Department is committed to bridging the gap in communicating with our growing Spanish population, seeking ways to positively resolve law enforcement issues, and increasing the number of bi-lingual police officers and staff.
