We are please to announce the new mentorship program for the LOA-FLA.
Cadets within the memorship program seeking mentoring in Florida law enforcement shall have a mentorship tracking number from the LOA-FLA and his or her mentor shall be listed as the official mentor.
The Cadet progress will be listed on our web-site for the membership's informational update. The Cadet identify shall be keep a secret on the web-site with only the cadet number being displayed.
Currently, we have three cadets in the mentorship program:
07-001 MA / Miami Dade / Mentor Alexander Martinez.
07-002 RS / Lee County / Mentor Raul Fernandez
07-003 DH / Lake County / mentor pending.
Truly, having the pleasure and responsibility of mentoring a young person in law enforcement is not easy but in the long run reawarding.
The following are the results from the LOA-FLA vote on the Mentorship program:
To create a mentorship program in where the LOA-FLA would aid Latinos that are interested in becoming a Law Enforcement Officer in the Florida. The program would partner a member with a civilian participant that has an interest in becoming certified.
